The heart of Destiny College

At the heart of Destiny College is a concern more for the “formation” of an individual’s character than the gaining of academic “knowledge.” The most frequent title given to Jesus Christ was “teacher,” yet he never had a pupil! Jesus only had disciples.

Pupil vs. disciples … what is the difference?

Pupils are concerned with obtaining information for academic exams. However, a disciple promotes this information to a diff erent level. They allow the knowledge to mould and shape every aspect of their life.

By uniting quality, Biblical teaching with an encouraging but challenging environment of discipleship, the ethos of Destiny College aims to produce leaders who not only possess the correct heart to be used by God, but who are also equipped with the knowledge they require to adequately lead and complete the work to which they are called. There really is no better training for eff ective Christian service. Destiny College is all about seeing champions emerge, excelling in confi dence, wisdom and leadership.

Church Based Training

The church is God’s own passion and Jesus gave His life for it! We believe it truly is God’s way of reaching this world. Having Destiny College so closely related to the large, thriving community of Destiny Church means that students are not confi ned to a theological classroom. Rather, students have the opportunity to take what is taught in class and apply it straight away, making a diff erence even as they study. This structure reflects how Jesus taught his disciples and shaped their lives for ministry. At Destiny, we aim to do likewise.

Please note: Unless agreed with the college beforehand to serve in your sending church if this is practicable, all students are to be fully involved with and serving in Destiny Church Glasgow during their time at Destiny College.
